We headed out to my grandpa's house today to spend the day with family! It was so nice to be able to get together and see everyone and spend time with them.
We enjoyed lots of food and company and even enjoyed a little bit of rain. The kids got to play in pool and with a sprinkler ball we found on the way out there and had a great time with both! They also played a little bit of baseball and just enjoyed the sun and the rain.
It was a nice day and a really great way to spend a Saturday- with family and lots of food!

Mini Playgroup Party

With Summer vacation upon us the kids and I are always looking for opportunities to play with other kids and moms! We head to the park and out and about whenever we can!!
Aunt Jen and I decided we wanted to put together a mini weekly playgroup to try and meet the above goal!
We invited all of our friends with and without kids who want to join us!
You can come too!
This past week it was just Aunt Jen, Tommy, the kids and I. We had lunch with Mizzy and then she headed back to work and we headed to the Castle Park to play for a bit.
After the Castle Park we went over to Grandma and Pop-pop's to play in the pool and hang out for a bit more!
It was such a good time and so nice to have the kids play with someone other than their moms!
Let me know if you're interested in joining us!!

Carnival Fun!

Tonight we took the kids up to Warwick, NY for their annual Fireman's Carnival.
Boy, did Nicholas have fun!??!
Not only did he win Nemo, his new pet, he also rode a ton of rides and enjoyed the heck out the evening!! I could not get over the lack of fear in this child! He wanted to ride EVERYTHING! We limited a lot of what he went on mainly because of his size, but he still found ways to pick rides that even set a little bit of fear into his Daddy!

Fearlessly leading the other kids down the slide

Mommy and Addie on the Merry Go Round
She LOVED it!

I think Nicholas won a Panda Bear from this game!

Addison was mad that we wouldn't let her on the Tilt-A-Whirl

Nicholas won this trumpet using his fishing skills!

It's kind of hard to see but Daddy and Nicholas are on the far right of this picture

We had to tape Nicholas to the stroller just to get this picture!
He was so excited to go on everything and see all that he could!

The Ferris Wheel
We never made it on there

Goofballs!

Having Fun!

I have to say, every single game that Nicholas played tonight he won something. This carnival had a policy that Kids Always Win! I thought that was really great!

The Newest Member of Our Family

This is Nemo.
Nemo joined our family tonight.
He hails from Warwick, NY and enjoys long walks, I mean swims, along the shore and is always up for a steak dinner.

Here is how Nemo came to join our family.

Dental Dynamo

Today, Nicholas had his first Dentist visit! We went to Dr. Carollo who has been our family dentist for quite some time!
First, Nicholas had his teeth cleaned by Donna while sitting on my lap.
Then he had his picture taken for Dr. Carollo's wall of fame!
Finally, he sat in the chair all by himself and let Dr. Carollo, aka Dr. John, look at his teeth and count them!
Nicholas has a total of 20 teeth- all baby teeth!
They are super helathy and spaced out perfectly.
Nicholas was rewarded with a goodie bag full of dental and non-dental toys, including an Elmo toothbrush!

Playing pee-a-boo with Donna

He looks a little scared in the above picture, but he's not! He's just patiently awaiting Dr. John and his counting fingers!!

Summer Sunday

Sunday turned out to be just as nice as Saturday!
Our morning started out with some Vanilla French Toast which even our pickiest eater- Nicholas- devoured!
Grandma and Pop-pop came up to visit later on in the morning and we took the kids up to Warwick, NY for the afternoon. We perused the Warwick Farmers' Market and picked up some strawberries and chocolates and bread. Then we had lunch at nice restaurant up there and then did a little more walking. Grandma even found a pretty necklace in one of the Warwick jewelry stores!
After lunch, this kids were treated to chocolate covered pretzels. Addison enjoyed hers quite a bit! So did Nicholas but he was much better at keeping the chocolate in his mouth rather than around it!
We headed home with our market and town treasures and Nicholas and I enjoyed some outside time while Addie napped and Pat was at work. Now, we're sitting here enjoying some downtime and the rain that is moving through!
A lovely Summer weekend with lots more to come, hopefully!

Mmmmm, I LOVE French Toast Mommy!

I can have WHATEVER I want!!??!

Hello, Dominos?

Nicholas loved the view of the river from the restaurant

Our little chocolate monster!
She NEVER eats chocolate- those pretzels must've been pretty good!

We hope your weekend was just as nice and all those to come get better!

Sunny Summer Days!

We have had such a nice weekend so far!
Last night Pat and I headed into the city for a night out courtesy of Grandma and Pop-pop! My parents bought my RENT tickets for Mother's Day and they offered to watch the kids while we went out to dinner and enjoyed the show! It was GREAT! The only picture I took was of the RENT sign outside the theater, and even that didn't turn out great!

Today, the kids and I spent the morning out and about. We spent some time at a local farmers' market and then picked up some bagels for breakfast and for Daddy who was at home doing school work. After breakfast, Addie went down for a nap and Nicholas and I headed outside to play in and by the pool. Nicholas had a great time splashing in the water and basking in the fabulous sun. I had a great time sitting with my feet in the water, getting a tan and reading!

Our afternoon and evening was just as nice! Once Daddy went to work for the night, we went out for a walk, had some lunch and played inside for a bit. After cleaning everyone up we headed out to the park and then to the video store where Nicholas had his pick of any movie- he chose Diego's Iguana Sing Along! I'm hoping it puts him to sleep as he's watching it right now!

All in all, we've had a great weekend so far and hopefully tomorrow will only bring more Summer fun!

RENT!
Go see it before it closes!

Our Pool Boy

Relaxin' Poolside

His hair gets blonder each minute we stay in the sun!

Mom, do you really have to keep taking pictures?!?!

Cheese!

I'm gonna go down this slide before Mommy takes the picture...heehee....

Getting ready to go down the big slide

This was the welcoming committee at the park, tonight.
These were the only ones I could get on film...there were at least two times this many!

In the tunnel

She thought the tunnel was the funniest thing!

Mommy, I see you!

Wheeeee!

Someone LOVES the swings!

This is his favorite slide- the tunnel slide!

Making her way to the slide, all on her own!

This gives me all sorts of ideas.....
