Turkey Day Take 3 and a Tree Trimming

Yesterday, we invited a bunch of friends over for a third celebration of Thanksgiving and a kickoff to the Christmas season!
Everyone came over armed with their own contribution to the Thanksgiving table and lots of energy to help us decorate our tree for Christmas! Uncle Dan and Nicholas went right to work getting the tree and all the decorations out from under the steps and then set to work putting the tree together. Nicholas instructed Uncle Dan in a kind but firm manner on the finer points of light stringing and soon we were ready to eat!
After eating, all the kids- Nicholas, Addie, Tommy and Jamie- were ready to get decorating! They dove right into the box of glass ornaments and all the adults followed close behind! Ornaments were hung and then we were able to enjoy some dessert and hang out time!
The kids had a ball running around with one another and the adults enjoyed catching up and watching all of the little ones finally get to enjoy one another!
We still have some decorating to finish, but everything looks great so far!!
It was the perfect way to wrap up the Season of Thanks and kick off the Season of Giving!

Between Aunt Heather and I, we took quite a few pictures!
They aren't exactly in the best order!

Reunion

Last night I attended my high school reunion in Morristown. I picked up an old friend and we headed into town to catch up with all of our former classmates. We enjoyed seeing each other and sharing some food, drinks and conversation. Once we were done at the lounge that we had rented out, we headed across the street to a local bar for some more fun. We chatted into the wee hours and enjoyed remembering old times together and making new memories.
I didn't take many pictures but my friend Chloe hijacked my camera a few points and snagged a few pictures for me!!

Turkey Take 2

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!
We hope all of you enjoyed a wonderful day full of family, friends, blessings and delicious food!
We have an enormous amount to be grateful for today. We spent the day with family enjoying each other's company and delicious food!
Our day started off bright and early with Nicholas making the wake up calls at Grandma and Pop-pop's house. Pop-pop and I took Nicholas into the city to meet Aunt Jessica and see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. We took an early train and we were in the city in time to see the start of the parade. Nicholas loved seeing the balloons and marching bands and it actually was not all that cold!
After the parade we headed back to Grandma and Pop-pop's where we waited for Uncle Timmy, Aunt Ann, Alanna and Daddy to arrive. Once they did we enjoyed lots of yummy food and the kids had a great time running around and playing with everyone. Dinner and dessert were delicious and it was wonderful to spend the day surrounded by family.
We are so grateful for all that we have been blessed with and everyone that we have in our lives.
Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!
