Christmas Day

We'd like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and we hope that you spent today surrounded by friends, family and love, as we did!

We began our Christmas morning at home at a reasonable hour. I thought, for sure, that we were going to be woken up by a very eager almost 4 year old boy!
We were- just not until 8 am!!
Nicholas was so excited to get downstairs to see if Santa and the reindeer had come and eaten the cookies and milk lovingly left out.
We made our way downstairs and Nicholas and Addison were greeted by an empty plate of cookies and empty glass of milk, and LOVED it!

Our Tree post Santa, pre-kids!

Nicholas "patiently" waiting to head downstairs and see if Santa stopped by!

This was the best shot I could get....both kids are running into the living room checking to see what's waiting for them

Addie and her new Dora chair- a rare moment...we had to beg her to open presents after the first one!!

After Christmas morning at our house, we headed to Grandma and Pop-pop's to spend the day with them and Aunt Jessica. When we first walked in, this was the first gift the kids saw- a Dinosaur from Aunt Jessica!
Nicholas LOVED it! Addie is still up in air about it!

Addie checking it out...she did not like it and she did not want to wave!

Grandma even got on Rory!!

Trying to coerce Addie into loving Rory as much as everyone else did!

I had no idea this picture was even taken...this was after all of the presents had been opened...I fell asleep on Addie's Air Doll and someone took advantage of this opportunity with my camera!!

Again, we hope everyone had a wonderfully Merry and Blessed Christmas!
We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful day filled with love and family and we hope that all of our friends and family enjoyed the same blessings!

Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Eve

After going out to finish my Christmas shopping, we spent the rest of Christmas Eve with Pat's family. The kids enjoyed running in circles around the house and playing with their new toys! And we all enjoyed a delicious dinner made by Pat's dad and sister. We ended the evening by getting the kids into their matching Christmas PJs and heading home to wait for Santa!

Snow Fun

We had more snow this past weekend and Nicholas was so excited to get outside and play in it!
When Pat came home from work on Sunday evening he was excited to take Nicholas outside to play and build a snow fort. So, we bundled them up and Daddy and Nicholas headed outside!
Nicholas jumped right into the snow and started making snow angels while waiting for Daddy to get his boots on! The two worked on a snow fort and mini sledding hill until it just became too cold, and dark, and then came inside to enjoy some Hot Chocolate!

Addie opted to stay inside since her love of snow still has not taken hold!

Christmas Snow

It's the weekend before Christmas and the kids are so excited it's tons of fun to watch and experience! In addition to the Christmas excitement, we've also been experiencing new snow excitement. This past Friday we were blanketed with more than 4 inches of fabulously beautiful snow! As a result I was gifted with a snow day and the chance to spend the day with the kids. We baked cookies and cleaned the house and finally headed out into the white stuff.
There were mixed emotions from Nicholas and Addison. Nicholas LOVED the snow! He had a great time playing in and trying to make a snow fort and some snowballs. Addison HATED it! She hated it so much it was a little comical to watch. We didn't stay out long, just long enough for Addison to reach severe meltdown point!!

After having a lovely snow day at home, today we headed to my Aunt and Uncle's house to celebrate Christmas with my dad's side of the family. We had such a nice time spending the day with all of my aunts, uncles, cousins and my grandpa. We enjoyed tons of food, exchanging gifts and lots of company and quality family time!! Nicholas was lucky enough to have my cousin Andrew offer to take him outside into the snow. Andrew taught Nicholas how to sled and even do some mock snowboarding. Nicholas had a ball!!
