Well, they've been talking about it and calling for it and warning us about it and now it's finally here! After a weekend frenzy getting ready for Snowmageddon 2010 and nothing happening- at least for those of us in Northern NJ- we are now in the beginning stages of Snowmageddon #2 2010.
It started snowing here about 3 hours ago and it's just now starting to become steady. The kids are nestled in their beds dreaming, I'm sure, of heading out into the white stuff in the morning! I'm settled comfortably on the couch, with my Mac and a book, eagerly anticipating sleeping past 5am tomorrow because school has already been canceled. And poor Pat is strategizing out how to get to work in the morning!
The weather people are calling for about a foot of snow for us, with more down where I work and near Grandma and Pop-pop! While we are all looking forward to the snow day tomorrow, it has put somewhat of a damper on our plans for tomorrow. You see, tomorrow Nicholas turns FIVE YEARS OLD! And we had planned to take him out for a birthday dinner with grandma and pop-pop. Luckily, we have rescheduled and the little big man will get to celebrate at home and out with the whole family!!
So, stay tuned for more pictures of the snow and of our birthday boy and his celebrations! In the meantime, here are a just few shots of what has just begun. Nothing spectacular just yet but it's gearing up to be a big one!!
Part of the backyard....not too much just yet!
Part of our driveway and entryway....just a light covering
The Front Lawn and Our Bushes...still just a dusting
(And yes, we still have our lights out! They have not been turned on in more than a month but we just haven't had the chance to take them down!!)
