In an effort to give the kids some "alone" time and help them develop their own interests we split Nicholas and Addison for the day today. Nicholas went with Pop-pop and Aunt Jessica back to the Liberty Science Center to see a Dinosaur named Sue and LOVED it! While he was enjoying a second visit to the Center, which is clearly becoming one of his favorite places, Grandma and I took Addison into New York City to see Elmo and Friends at Madison Square Garden.
Sesame Street Live is currently running "Elmo Live: What I want to be When I Grow Up" and seeing as how Addie LOVES Sesame and all things Elmo and Big Bird, my mom and I knew she would love it. And, boy, did she?!?!
The entire train ride in all she could talk about was going to see Elmo and how she wanted to see Big Bird but not Cookie Monster. She is even made friends with the little girl sitting behind us and they talked about their favorite Sesame characters. We had a quick brunch once we got into the city and then headed in for the show. She was in awe of the entire thing and was SO excited when Big Bird and then Elmo came out! IT WAS GREAT!
