Nicholas got to celebrate his birthday at home today! We've been snowed in for most of the day courtesy of the Blizzard of 2010!!
We hung out around the house and cleaned and did some baking all while waiting for Daddy to come home so we could head out and play in the glorious white stuff. Once we got out there the kids, and Daddy, had a great time working on their snow fort and throwing snowballs!!
After the snow we came inside for some hot chocolate- sans marshmallows- and then some dinner. After dinner we moved right into the event of the evening- BIRTHDAY CAKE!! Nicholas enjoyed blowing out his candles and making a wish to celebrate his 5th birthday. Finally, Nicholas opened up his birthday present and was super excited for his new Nintendo DS!
All in all, I'd say the birthday boy had a pretty great day!!
