There were no cameras allowed in- and stupid us we actually followed this rule!

Back in June it was announced that Bruce Springsteen would be the last musical act to play the current Giants' Stadium in East Rutherford. I knew that we had to be there for at least one of the shows!
I was able to get us tickets to the October 2nd and show and Pat and I have been eagerly awaiting this past Friday night for months!!
We took the new rail line directly to the Meadowlands and I cannot tell you how extremely fabulous this was!! You may have heard about the U2 concert debacle from last week- this was not even close to that! It was easy, fast, and non-stressful! The train drops you right at Gate B in front of Giants' stadium- AMAZING!
We picked up our tickets at will-call (for reasons we won't go into here!) and headed into the show! Our seats were upper tier but we had an AWESOME shot of the stage so it really made no difference!
Bruce has been playing full albums for all of his shows in NJ and we got to hear the "Darkness on the Edge of Town" album. While this is not my favorite album, it is an excellent album and nothing beats hearing it live!! He and the band played for three hours STRAIGHT and it was INCREDIBLE!
The show never slowed down and never had any low points- it was just incredible Bruce in action!
While we never wanted the show to end, the best part of the night was the very end- the second encore where Bruce and the band played "Rosalita" my absolute favorite song. It was incredible- fireworks going off, the entire stadium singing along, the band out of control. It was enough to make a certain someone get up on the chair in front of them and start dancing- in the beginning rain. The rest of the story goes exactly how you would expect if you know me- at all! Let's just say it ends with me in a cast and on crutches but completely willing to do it ALL again because the show was just THAT AMAZING!!
If you eve have the opportunity to see Bruce I HIGHLY recommend you take the opportunity! This is the third time I've seen him and he has only gotten better each time. He and the band put on an incredible show that is worth MUCH MUCH more than any ticket price could convey!
All in the all, the music was incredible and Pat and I enjoyed a wonderful night out together!
