Springtime Saturday

Today we headed off to see Aunt Jen and Tommy and spend the day with them.
We enjoyed some delicious lunch followed by ice cream all around.
We, of course, had to work off our calories so we took the kids to the park!
It was a little chilly but the sun helped to remedy that!
All three kids had a great time, as did the mommies!

One Year Check Up

Addison went for her one year check up today and did GREAT!
Here are the stats:
Weight- 21lbs 11oz 60th percentile
Height- 28 inches 30th percentile
Head- 18 inches 90th percentile (SHOCKER!)

She is right on schedule for everything and doing really great! Addison eats everything in sight and is now free to enjoy any and all foods, except peanuts. She's starting to walk on her own and babbling, with some coherent words, like a champ!
Here are a few shots of our one year old, it is next to impossible to catch a shot of her looking straight at the camera because she is always on the move!

Be sure to vote on the new blog colors and let us know what you think!
The poll is at the top right!!
Thanks!

Beautiful Music and Binky

A few weeks ago we headed out to Long Island for a family wedding. My cousin Kelly, Nicholas' godmother, and her mom, my Aunt Carolyn, very graciously watched both Nicholas and Addison for the night. It was a huge relief to have the kids in such wonderful hands while we were enjoying ourselves!
Aunt Kelly had her friend Sarah come over who is a music therapist and she and Nicholas had a ball! We had actually hoped to get her to come out and visit Nicholas in the hospital a few weeks earlier since he was refusing to speak to anyone except grandma, pop-pop and daddy while infirmed. Unfortunately, a big snowstorm pre-empted those plans! It was better this way since he could really enjoy himself with Sarah and Aunt Kelly!!

Nicholas and Aunt Kelly
(Mainly Aunt Kelly, she has a large head....it's a McGeary trait, we have lots of brains!)

Addison also enjoyed spending time with Aunt Kelly and Aunt Carolyn but quickly went to sleep! Once that binky hits her mouth she's pretty much out cold- it's actually the only time we even entertain the thought of a binky! She uses it just to calm herself and then, inevitably, tosses it!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! We hope you had a wonderfully blessed and happy day!
We had quite the enjoyable day filled with family and food!
...and candy, too!
We started off our day hunting for Easter eggs left by the Big Bunny both in and outside the house! Nicholas and Addison both had luck at finding some deliciously filled eggs.
After egg hunting and sorting we took Pat to work at the restaurant for the day and then headed down to grandma and pop-pop's for the rest of the day.
Nicholas and Addison had the chance to hunt for some more eggs there and also got to play the day away and enjoy some delicious food.
Nicholas helped grandma make the homemade ravioli for dinner and they came out mighty tasty!!

The best of many....trying to get this child to look at the camera is quite the feat!

Can you guess what food this child is sampling??
It's a lemon....she LOVED it! Could not get enough of it!

We hope everyone is welcoming Spring with as much excitement as we are and we hope that your Easter Sunday was filled with many blessings that will carry you through the year and beyond!
Happy Easter!!

Easter Prep

Yesterday, the kids and I headed down to grandma and pop-pop's for some Easter preparation.
Nicholas and Addison dyed some Easter eggs and got ready for the Big Bunny to come and hide them!

A Beautiful Thing

My parents took the kids last night because I had physical therapy this morning and daycare was closed since it's Good Friday.
So, after a meeting with my masochistic physical therapist and then an argument with the "lovely" customer service rep at Toys R Us I headed back to my parents to pick up the kids.
We played for a bit. Then I took Addison to have some blood drawn for some tests she needs to have done and we met up with grandma and pop-pop and Nicholas for lunch.
After lunch I loaded the kids into the car and headed for home, praying for a traffic free ride.
I turned around at a stop light mere moments after leaving the restaurant and these are the images that greeted me!
They are quite beautiful images and quite beautiful children, even when they're awake!
And yes, Addison is facing forward now! She enjoys it quite a bit now that she can easily view Dora and Diego as well as look out the window the right way!!

Photographs

I took the kids over to Kiddie Kandids today to have some pictures taken. I try to have pictures done a few times a year and always around their birthday. These pictures are for both kids' birthdays and for Easter. They are wearing their Easter outfits...Addie sans shoes. Enjoy!

Doesn't he look so old here?!?!

My Favorite Siblings!

I'm pretty sure I've said it before but I'll say it again, Kiddin Kandids is excellent!
I've tried a few other portrait places and short of taking the kids to our wedding photographer, Kiddie Kandids has always done a GREAT job! I have never been unhappy with their work and I've never left there feeling like I had to do all the work to make the kids smile.
We've always gotten great pictures!
I HIGHLY recommend them!
