Fall Festivities I

With Fall in full swing we have lots of activities planned over the next few weeks. Today, I decided that the day was too gorgeous to stay home with the kids so we set out on an adventure. Even though we are planning to go pumpkin and apple picking with friends in a few weeks, I decided that we'd head in the opposite direction of where we're planning on going and try out some different farms. We ended up exploring Warren County and the Blairstown area. It was gorgeous! The colors of the trees and the beautiful sunlight was just wonderful. The kids were able to nap a little bit and also enjoy taking a look at all the cows and goats and farms along the way.
We ended up at a small out of the way farm in Hope. Nicholas and Addison loved the hay ride and even got to meet a few goats. We grabbed our pumpkins, small ones, and rode the tractor back to the farm stand. They took us on a longer hay ride on the way back and we got to explore more of the farm and see where they grow some gorgeous sunflowers! We sampled some of the freshest and most delicious apple cider I've ever tasted and then headed back out on the road.
We took the long way home and stopped to see Daddy at work and do a little food shopping so we could do some baking during the long weekend!! We finally made it home, after another short nap in the car, and now we're enjoying another favorite fall pastime- Watching the Irish on TV!
