Columbus Day in the City

Today, Columbus Day, was the first time that Pat and I have been off together-all day- since before Labor Day!! We decided to take advantage of the day and take the kids into New York City!
The weather was perfect! Not too hot, not cold and NO RAIN! We took the train in, which may have been the highlight of the day, and walked most of the way to the Museum of Natural History. We wanted Nicholas to have a little bit of energy to make it through the museum so we ended up in a cab for the last 15 blocks or so. Both kids LOVED the cab. It was quite cute, Nicholas was all about the seatbelt!
We made our way into and through the museum and saw just about everything. Nicholas and Addison especially enjoyed the Oceanography wing and the GIANT whale.
After the entire afternoon spent wandering through all of the halls of the museum we headed back outside and made our way to Columbus Circle, took a few pictures, made a wish, and moved on. We grabbed another cab back to Penn Station and hopped on a train back home!
A great way to spend a day off!!
I took a fair amount of pictures, although I wanted to get some more, enjoy!!
