Addison's Adventure

Addison had her first "big adventure" yesterday! Over the past few days Addie has been gracing us with her projectile vomit. Since it was pretty persistent I decided to take her in to see our pediatrician. Well, our doctor decided we needed to run a few tests and sent us right over to the hospital to have an abdomen ultrasound done on our little peanut. So we headed to the Goryeb children's center at Morristown Memorial Hospital and grandma met us there to support mommy and Addie while grandpa took care of Nicholas.
Everyone at the hospital was super nice and helpful! Addie was taken in for her ultrasound, which she did not enjoy, AT ALL! It was pretty fascinating to watch the ultrasound, especially since it was a chance to see inside Addie rather than looking at her inside me! The doctors were able to watch Addie drink and swallow and start to digest her formula as she was downing her bottle. They were looking to make sure the opening from her stomach to the rest of her digestive tract was working correctly. Thankfully, it was working great! We are just waiting on one more test result but it looks like our peanut has some pretty serious acid reflux! YUCK! Luckily, reflux is pretty easy to treat...we switched her formula and put her on some Pepcid and hopefully in a few days Addie will be back to normal!! And no more vomit for mommy and daddy!!
