We are back home after 10 days spent with Grandma and Pop-pop. We could not be more grateful for the time that we spent with Grandma and Pop-pop. We are incredibly blessed to have such great family who was so willing to take us in. I cannot imagine what it would have been like had we not been able to stay with them. It was cold last week! I can't help but think of all of those families who are still without power or even worse, without a home! Another thing to be incredibly grateful for this Thanksgiving!
If anyone is interested in donating to the cause down the shore please let me know! I've been working with a few individuals on getting items down there, specifically to a Fire Department that is distributing things and also with an organization that is working on Thanksgiving meals for families who were either displaced or cannot afford to do a dinner this year.
On a bit happier note, I have some pictures from pumpkin picking a few weeks ago as well as pictures from Halloween, which we only just celebrated today! Due to the storm and lots of dangerous areas, Halloween was postponed. Rockaway, our town, celebrated it on Monday but we weren't home. Chatham, celebrated it tonight so Michelle and I took the kids down there and we went trick or treating! They had a great time and finally got some use out of their costumes!!
