Road Tested and Kid Approved

So we headed out and took to the streets! Our new stroller strolled great and Nicholas really seemed to enjoy it! Addie slept through the whole thing, but did manage to catch a few rays while we walked along.
Nicholas took a break from riding and did some tree pushing and walking with daddy. All in all it was a fun experience!

We are Mobile! (Finally!)

After weeks of waiting and routine emails to Graco and lots of phone calls, our double stroller has finally arrived! We had to pre order this brand new item from Graco and so far we really like it. Nicholas seems to LOVE it! He sat it in just about the whole time it was being put together and then wouldn't get out of it once it was completed. Here are a few shots of him hanging out in the living room watching some TV in his new stroller! Let's just hope he loves it as much as we wander the streets of the development or meander through the mall!

Addie, Daddy and Nicholas

Here are a few new shots of Daddy and Addie and our big boy Nicholas enjoying an ice cream cone at Grandma and Grandpa's! Addie has her first checkup next week with Nicholas' favorite doctor, Dr. Julie. It looks like she'll be well beyond her birth weight and thriving quite a bit! She's eating great and sleeping pretty well too. Hopefully, our double stroller will be getting here tomorrow so Addie and Nicholas can travel together and experience their first walk around the development and maybe meet some more of our neighbors.

One Whole Week

Addie reached her one week birthday today!! She is doing really well and eating like a champ. Her little chicken legs are starting to fill out as is the rest of her! She's still swimming in most of her clothes but that's quite cute so we're ok with it! :)

Little Miss Sunshine

Addie decided it was time to take the doctor's order to heart and get some sun! Here she is catching her first set of rays to help alleviate some of her jaundice. She clearly enjoys the sun as she has passed out from the joyous warmth!

I'm The Big Brother!

Here he is, our little big boy Nicholas! He has been doing so great with his little sister! Nicholas makes sure that Addie always has her binky and her bottle if she needs it and when she naps in her cradle he turns on the music so she can sleep. He likes to sit next to Mommy when it's time to feed Addie but he's great with that, too!

Nicholas was able to show off his new sister to his grandpa and uncle Matt yesterday when we went out visiting to Casa and he had a great time doing that too! He played with grandpa and uncle Matt and made friends just about everywhere he went. When we were all done he was rewarded with some new choo choos and he and daddy have been playing with his new Thomas trains and tracks since last night. He even likes to bring Thomas to bed with him! (Nicholas that is, not Daddy!)

She Has Arrived!

As most of you already know our little peanut has arrived!
Addison Hilda Stella arrived at 8:31am on Tuesday March 20th, 2007! We went into the hospital on Monday evening because of some blood pressure problems and by the next morning we were holding our little bundle courtesy of a lot of Pitocin and a fabulous epidural.
Addie arrived slightly ahead of schedule, about 3 weeks, but she is doing really great. She weighed in at 5lbs 15oz. and 18inches long. She's lost a little bit of body weight but is quickly regaining that as she eats more and more. She spent a little bit of time, about a day, under some phototherapy lights for minor jaundice but is doing great now and will be getting some sun over the next few days.
Big brother Nicholas came to visit Mommy and Addie in the hospital on Tuesday night with grandma and grandpa. He gave Addie a kiss and was quickly off to explore the hospital room, which was clearly more exciting! :)
We left the hospital yesterday evening and headed to grandma and grandpa's for some dinner and family time. While there Nicholas had the chance to hold his baby sister and show us all the new toys that grandma had spoiled him with! When it was time to head home Nicholas sat in his car seat, right next to Addie, and kept his hand on her seat to protect her. It was quite cute.
Our first night was pretty typical...Addie was up every 3 hours to eat and did great, even gave mommy a poopy present around 3am. She and Daddy had breakfast this morning around 7 and she's relaxing peacefully in her bassinet awaiting her next bottle and then a visit to her pediatrician!
We can't wait for everyone to meet her and we'd like to thank our visitors and everyone who has called and sent congratulations and well wishes- we love them!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to our family information center! We decided, after some encouragement from friends of ours, to create a blog of our family happenings. It makes things so much easier because instead of emailing and uploading and downloading pictures we can put everything here and update accordingly!
