Today Addison Hilda Stella turned 2 months old! She celebrated the day by getting down to her diaper and hanging out on the couch. She also cuddled up briefly with big brother Nicholas. As you can see she has come quite a ways from her 5lb birthweight and is now quite the porker at close to 9lbs!!
Addison is happy to say that she is exactly 2 months older than her newest friend Dagney Maria Bunkers! CONGRATULATIONS to our friends and neighbors Jenn and Josh who welcomed their first little girl, Dagney, this evening at 5:42. Dagney weighed in at 7lbs 8oz and is 20 inches long. According to mom and dad she has bright red hair! Congrats you guys and we can't wait to see pictures to share with everyone!

Zoo Adventures
Nicholas and Addison were able to share a first today, their first trip to the Zoo. Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa headed into the Bronx today to bring the kids to the Bronx Zoo. Neither Pat nor I had been to the Bronx zoo, or any zoo for that matter, since we were both much younger. Nicholas had an absolutely fabulous time seeing all of the animals and riding a camel and the bug carousel. The day was actually pretty perfect since it was very cool and not too sunny there weren't too many people there so it was a pleasant experience to walk leisurely through the zoo and take our time seeing everything. I would have to say that Nicholas' favorite exhibit today was the Monkey House with the Camel ride coming in a close second!
We took a ton of pictures and I'll try to pick the best ones!!

Cooking Kiddo
Here are a few shots of Nicholas helping Mommy cook. He loves to sit on the kitchen floor while I'm cooking dinner and help me out by whipping up his own magical creation. (Usually ice!)

Bumbo and Outside Time
I took out the Bumbo seat today to test it out. Nicholas enjoyed it quite a bit. Addison is still a bit small for it but she was a good sport about it!
We took to the backyard after dinner tonight to do some weeding and enjoy the nice weather. It was a nice photo op on the back patio so we took advantage of it! Nicholas and Addie look great...Mommy is showing her lack of sleep! :)

The Beach
Well, I finally got my camera back when we went down to celebrate Mother's Day at grandma and grandpa's. Happy Mother's Day to all those moms, grandmas, godmothers, mommies to be and anyone else who should be celebrating Mother's Day! I hope you had a wonderfully relaxing day!
So we went to the beach the other day and got some great pictures! Nicholas was a little wary at first of the sand but ended up not wanting to leave. The weather wasn't the greatest so going in the water wasn't really an option. He had a great time digging in the sand and playing with grandma. Addie slept through most of the day but I'm sure the sea air did her some good!

She Smiles!

Here it is, the first film captured smile! The picture is kind of bad because I used my cell phone! I'll have more pictures on Sunday, from our trip to the beach yesterday, once I get my camera back!
Enjoy!

Bulldozers and...
While Mommy and Addie spent the day in Willow Grove at Aunt Megan's baby shower and then with Mommy's friend Meredith, Nicholas and Daddy enjoyed a day together. Daddy and Nicholas played hide and seek, had a bath, ate some lunch, took a nap and then went off to explore the construction site in the rest of our development.
Nicholas had a great time playing in the dirt and checking out the big machines! Daddy took a few great shots of him in front of some heavy equipment that hopefully is getting the job done in finishing our development!

...Baby Showers!
Addie and Mommy headed down to Willow Grove, PA today to see Aunt Megan, one of Addie's Godmothers, and help all of her friends and family surprise her with a great baby shower! Kudos to Mrs. McLaughlin who organized the whole thing! Aunt Megan was pretty surprised by the shower and received a lot of great things that will definitely help when her little bundle arrives! We are very excited for Aunt Megan and Uncle George's little girl to arrive, she should be here by June!
Addison was an absolute doll and loved by all during the entire shower! She slept in the entire ride down there and then hung out, ate and then went back to sleep. She was great and looked fabulous in her new green and white polka dot dress!
We're going to try out our bedtime bath again tonight. We got some lotion to go with the wash. While Addie didn't sleep all night long, she did calm down a lot after her bath...it was well worth it! Mommies everywhere should know the bedtime bath does exactly what it says!!

Bathtime and Bedtime for Bonzo
We just gave Addie a bath and couldn't resist taking some late night pics! We're counting on the claims of Johnson and Johnson and their bedtime bath products to help Addison get some long term sleep tonight. She really loves the bath and it calms her so we are really keeping our fingers crossed on this one! Enjoy!

Playground Party
I took advantage of maternity leave and the nice weather and took the kids to the playground today. Nicholas LOVES the playground, especially the wiggle slide (as he calls it). Here are some shots of Nicholas enjoying himself and Addie sleeping her way through the day! You can really catch a good look at Nicholas's new haircut in these shots!

Some Brotherly Love and Close Ups
As Nicholas was feasting on his dinner last night I caught Addison gazing at him lovingly and I couldn't resist a picture or two! Hopefully, as they get older the loving gaze will continue and not turn into a glare of sibling rivalry! :)
Each time the camera comes out Nicholas immediately poses and says "cheese". How can you resist taking a picture of that?!?! And of course we can't skip out on a photo op for Addie! I think we may have seen a glimmer of a smile today that wasn't gas inspired but I didn't have the camera nearby to catch it on film!
