Yankee Game

We were lucky enough to get some free Yankee tickets for last night's game against the Indians.  Pat and I took Nicholas and my friend Amy to the game and we had a GREAT time!  Our seats were awesome and this was my first time in the new stadium.
Everything about the night was fun, even getting lost in the middle of the Bronx!  The food, while pricey, was delicious and the stadium was much nicer than the old one- although it really isn't like the House that Ruth built!!
The Yankees played great and easily beat the Indians!  It was the perfect Friday night and a great way for Nicholas to experience his first, of many, Yankee games!!

Playdate!

A few months ago a good friend of mine started up a moms group so that we could find other moms in our area to hang out with and have our kids all play together.  Today, she hosted a playdate at her house and Pat and I took the kids over for the day.  And we had a GREAT time...as did the kids!  We're very lucky in that not only are we friendly as moms, we're all good friends outside of our kids.  We had a great time just hanging around and watching all of the kids playing together and enjoying the day!  We even got in a few games of dogeball, which I'm not sure who enjoyed it more- the parents or the kids!

Spring Training

It's a rare Saturday that the kids and I don't have some place to go or something to do.  Yesterday, our errands were limited to haircuts for both kids and a stop at Wal Mart for a couple of Tee Ball sets.  Once all of that was done we were able to come home and enjoy the afternoon outside before Daddy got home and I headed out for the night!
We've been working on Nicholas' batting and throwing skills in the hopes that he'll be able to support us in our old age with his baseball skills. (Kidding)  We have been working on his skills though because he enjoys baseball a lot and seeing as how it's my on season for softball, it makes sense!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!
We had a lovely Mother's Day today.  Grandma and Pop-pop and Aunt Jessica came over to celebrate Mother's Day and Aunt Jessica's birthday.  We had hoped to spend the day outside in the sun but it was just too cold and windy.  We hung out inside for a bit and the kids were able to head outside for a short while to try out their kites that Aunt Jessica brought.  Then we had a delicious dinner of Greek food and a yummy ice cream cake.
It was a nice day all around!
We hope that you enjoyed your Mother's Day, as well!!

Saturday Sun Playdate

Today turned out to be a pretty nice day!  We were supposed to have a garage sale in our development today but when we woke up it was pretty nasty out.  The weather report called for rain and thunderstorms for most of the day followed by bad winds.  We opted to postpone the sale to a nicer day.

I had invited a friend up for the day to hang out and she came anyway and brought her niece with her.  Aunt Heather and Camryn arrived early this morning and we spent the day outside and inside.  The kids had a great time running around with one another and just enjoying the time together.  The sun ended up shining for most of the day so we really could have had the sale but it's no big deal because we had such a nice time!
