Family Reunion

Today was our annual Family Reunion!
We spent the day at Lewis Morris Park in Morristown with all of the McGearys and extended family. It was a GORGEOUS day out and it was perfect to spend it catching up and enjoying it with family.

The kids had a wonderful time playing with their cousin Michelle and all of their extended cousins. I had the chance to catch up with my cousins and aunts and uncles and we took TONS of pictures!

Michelle and I decided, as the day was winding down, to take Nicholas and Addison on a boat ride. We headed down to Sunrise Lake and rented a paddle boat. Nicholas and Addison had a lot of fun peddling, or trying to, across the lake and all around. It was a great way to wind down the day and get a little exercise!

All in all it was a nice time with family, enjoying good food, drink and company! Can't wait to do it again next year!

Sunny Sunday

We spent the afternoon at Grandma and Pop-pop's today and the kids had a ball playing in their new zebra pool! While Pop-pop and I hit the driving range for some golf, Grandma and Aunt Jessica hung out by the pool with the kids! It was the perfect the day to play in the pool and sit in the sun!

Grandapa's Pool

Pat and I have arranged our work schedules for the Summer so that we're both off on Mondays with the kids. It's really nice to have the entire day to go out or stay in and do family things. Today, we headed down to Pat's dad's house, grandpa, to swim and hang out. The kids had a ball and it was a gorgeous day to float in the pool and lay in the sun! Grandpa had a ball playing with Addie and Nicholas and getting to watch them enjoy their time in his big ol' bathtub!
We will definitely be going back quite soon!!

Happy Anniversary

Today, Pat and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary!
Six years ago today we had the most wonderful wedding and party to follow!
Today, we celebrated with drinks and dinner out at a lovely restaurant on the water in Hoboken- sans our children. (Even though they are the best product of our wedded bliss!!)

We went to The Quays in Hoboken for drinks and some delicious dinner. Beforehand, we walked along the water (right in front of the restaurant), took some pictures and enjoyed the gorgeous weather and "alone" time. Pat bought me a beautiful ring from Tiffany's that is has the words "I love you" inscribed around the band. It's really quite pretty and I'm already hesitant to take it off my hand!!

After dinner we walked a bit more and then drove through Hoboken and headed to Madison for a nightcap. And then we went an picked up Nicholas and Addison who were hanging out with grandma for the night!! Addie was fast asleep but Nicholas gladly rode the overtired express the entire way home!! It was a great day and we had a wonderful time! Thanks Grandma for watching the kids and thank you to everyone for your lovely anniversary wishes!!

I'm not going to lie...I was pretty excited about the little blue box!

I think we look better now (maybe not this picture) than we did 6 years ago!!

Fourth of July 2009

Happy 4th Of July Everyone!!
We hope that everyone had a wonderful and safe Independence Day!
We had a fun filled wonderful day with family and friends. Our day began early with a drive down to Grandma and Pop-pop's for some 4th Festivities! When we got there Grandma and Pop-pop took the kids up to town for the parade and I followed behind after a lovely jog in the beautiful weather.
We all enjoyed the parade with tons of fire trucks, bands and lots of candy!!

After the parade we headed back to Grandma and Pop-pop's for some outside pool time. We enjoyed some bbq lunch and then everyone relaxed and even napped for a bit! It was lovely!

Our evening was spent catching up with old friends!
The kids and I met up with my friend Kate and her husband Stephen and their daughter Caroline who were all up from Charlotte. We spent time at the park and then headed for dinner with daddy and some more friends!
We had a lovely time catching up, enjoying great food and wonderful company. The kids had a great time eating outside and playing with one another. Caroline and Addison became fast friends and showed each other lots of love. It was great- the perfect way to wrap up a wonderful 4th of July!

Happy Fourth of July!!
